The next open tryout for National Pro Fastpitch is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2003 in Houston, Texas. It will be instrumental in showcasing potential talent for the new league which is now launching in 2004.

Make plans now to join us for the tryouts in Houston. You can return to this site in early fall of 2003 for specific tryout information including registration material, registration fee, suggested hotels, directions to the field, equipment provided and a schedule of activities.

Tryout requirements: While participants must be at least 20 years of age, the league strongly encourages the completion of one’s college education prior to engaging in a pro tryout. Current NCAA athletes who participate in a professional tryout, whether or not successful, risk the loss of amateur status and the loss of current or future collegiate softball scholarship opportunity.

NPF athletes are gifted athletes who possess great softball skills and present a resume of outstanding softball accomplishments including many of the following:

Collegiate All-American,
Conference MVP
Leader in one or more NCAA statistical categories
U.S. National Team
Consistent participant in the Women’s College World Series

Most NPF players have the educational background to pursue other careers after their playing days are over. That education also allows for a certain level of sophistication and judgement that serves them well in negotiating endorsement deals, interacting with fans and dealing with the media.
