Pride Take Aussie Series at Home

VIERA, FL. (June 22, 2019)-  The Pride are home for their fifth home game of the 2019 season, against the Aussie Peppers.

The USSSA Pride secured the win at the Space Coast Stadium with a 3-0 victory over the Aussie Peppers in the final game of the series.

The USSSA Pride pitching staff had a difficult start, allowing two of the Pepper’s to get on base at the top of the first inning, but managed to finish the inning with no runs scored.

Pride answered to the rough start with 2 runs, giving the Pride a 2-0 lead.

Amanda Lorenz lead off the bottom of the first with a solo shot to get the Pride on board.

The 2nd and 3rd innings were both scoreless on both sides, the score remaining 2-0 to start the 4th inning in favor of the Pride.

Taran Alvelo came in relief for Jessica Burroughs in the 4th inning.

The Pride held the Peppers to 0 runs to end the 5th inning with a 2-0 lead.

The Pride managed to score another run at the bottom of the 6th inning, giving them a 3-0 lead over the Peppers.

Megan Good came to the mound for the Pride in the seventh inning to close the game.

The Pride swept the series with five wins and no losses.

In the circle for the Pride was Jessica Burroughs, Taran Alvelo, and Megan Good.

The Park Planet Player of the Game was Amanda Lorenz, as she hit a homerun off the Peppers pitcher, to start the batting for the Pride.
