National Pro Fastpitch Names Supervisor of Umpires
DENVER – The National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) announced today the hiring of Dave Neidlinger as the Supervisor of Umpires for NPF.
Neidlinger comes to NPF with 31 years of supervisor and coordinator experience, including present roles with the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). Neidlinger also coordinates the umpires for the Colorado Fireworks Tournament held annually in Aurora, Colo.
Other professional responsibilities that Neidlinger has include, serving as the President and Executive Director for the Colorado Sports Officials Association, and as a State Rules Interpreter for the Colorado High School Softball Program.
For NPF, Neidlinger will have several responsibilities, both during the offseason and regular season. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to, evaluating contracted umpires, creating a umpire schedule and serving on the NPF Rules Committee as a league representative.
National Pro Fastpitch is the only professional women’s fastpitch league in the United States. The league is headquartered in Denver, and has been in operation since 1997 under the names Women’s Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women’s Pro Softball League (WPSL).
