(April 12, 2016) – National Pro Fastpitch (NPF), the premier women’s pro softball league, has announced a new partnership agreement with opendorsethat will empower its players to grow and monetize their presence on social media. The opendorse platform provides NPF and its brand partners the opportunity to build and execute social media marketing campaigns by leveraging its most influential assets—the players.
Opendorse enables the NPF to create high-quality content for its athletes to post on personal social media channels in order to expand their audiences. The content may contain brand messaging for NPF sponsor partners. The platform provides sponsors, from local and regional companies to global brands, the opportunity to deploy paid social media campaigns through the NPF, including individual players and coaches. With this agreement, the NPF joins the WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) as one of the first women’s sports properties to develop an integrated brand marketing partnership with its athletes. The NFLPA and UFC have also teamed up with opendorse to help their athletes grow and monetize their social media influence

NPF’s deal with opendorse was spearheaded by their sports marketing agency French/West/Vaughan (FWV) and enables the agency to offer prospective league sponsors a unique marketing channel that conveys the endorsement of individual players and leverages the viral reach of their social media followings to engage an ever-widening audience of fans.
