NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 6, 2019) –Cleveland Comets rookie infielder, Tori Vidales has signed an On Player Ad Location (OPAL) agreement with Becky and Monty Davis for the 2019 season. 

“I am so excited to be partnering with the Davis’s,” said Vidales. “They have become family to me over the last few years and I am thankful they are so invested in growing our sport.”

“We are very happy to be associated with National Pro Fastpitch and Tori Vidales, to promote the sport of women’s fastpitch softball,” commented Becky and Monty Davis.

Vidales enters her first season of NPF action in 2019 as a rookie for the Comets, and her fourth season as a member of the Mexican National Softball Team. 

A 2018 graduate of Texas A&M, Vidales left her mark in the record books over her four year career with the Aggies. As a two-time All American, she set the Texas A&M records for RBIs, total bases, and runs. 

Vidales and her Cleveland Comets teammates will open their 2019 season Thursday, June 6, at Park Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, IL when they take on the Chicago Bandits. Tickets for the season opener can be purchased at .

The Cleveland Comets enter their second season of NPF competition following a move and name change of the league’s oldest running team, Akron Racers, in 2018. Owner, Craig Stout, located the Comets in Cleveland with their home venue being shared with the Frontier Baseball League Team known as the Lake Erie Crushers. The team will play the majority of their home games in the confines of Sprenger Stadium. Cleveland’s home opener at Sprenger is Wednesday, June 12th against the Canadian Wild of Southern Illinois.

Mexico will play a complete season of NPF action in 2019, with the majority of their team joining the Cleveland Comets roster. Mexico will also participate in the International Cup June 2-7 and the Pan American Games August 3-10. All of that competition will help prepare Mexico for the WBSC Americas Softball Qualifier which will take place in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada from August 25-September 1. That Qualifier will send its top two finishers to the Olympic Games in 2020 in Tokyo. Mexico is currently ranked fifth in the world according to WBSC rankings.

National Pro Fastpitch took the field for its 16th season in 2019 when opening day took place on May 28th in Daytona Beach, FL at Jackie Robinson Park, between the Beijing Shougang Eagles and the Canadian Wild of Southern Illinois.
