NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 25, 2019) –Chicago Bandit standout, Courtney Gano and STRIKES! Baseball and Softball Academy, recently inked an On Player Ad Location (OPAL) agreement for the 2019 season.
“I am really excited to represent a local business who is extremely involved in softball,” said Gano. “STRIKES! is a great place for athletes to train and it’s owned and operated by amazing people, and that is a huge reason why I am so proud of this partnership.”
Gano enters her second season in the NPF, joining the Chicago Bandits in 2018. Gano began her NPF career collecting hits in nine consecutive games, batting .533 with 12 RBI during that time span. She closed out the season posting a .384 batting average with five home runs and 26 RBIs.
After completing her college career at the University of Washington, Gano excelled overseas with the Italian-based Softball Club Forli in 2017, amassing a .540 batting average at the plate through 18 starts. Named to the USA Softball team the next year, she played in the Japan All-Star Series, USA International Cup and Japan Cup.
“STRIKES! is thrilled to sponsor Courtney Gano for the 2019 season, as she embodies our culture and everything that is great about softball,” commented owner, Scott Nelson. “First and foremost, she is a role model, mentor and leader in addition to being a dynamic softball talent.”
STRIKES! Baseball and Softball Academy is celebrating its 23rd year in business. The facility mission is to build confidence and empower athletes to achieve their greatest potential. STRIKES is extremely proud of their softball division and the many All-State and All-American athletes who choose to train with them.
