NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 2, 2019)– For the second season in a row, National Pro Fastpitch and Stephanie Trivison have teamed up to release original music by the Cleveland based artist.
The song, “Dangerous”, written by Trivison and produced by Jim Stewart, will be used throughout the NPF season in live streams and behind highlight packages.
“‘Dangerous’ was written from the perspective of the players,” said Trivison, “I thought back to my own time as an athlete and what it meant to persevere on the field and off. It is a song about embracing and owning your own power. To me, it says ‘I wouldn’t bet against me.’”
A third-generation musician from Cleveland, OH, Trivison knows how to make a melody stick to your ears. Over 15 years of live performance and sharing the stage with acts including producer and Grammy-winner Jack Antonoff, American Authors, Robert Randolph, and Eisley helped her hone in on what resonates with varying audiences from song structure to stage presence. Often noted for her easy charisma, she landed a role as a musician in a McDonald’s commercial – on a whim.
“We are so proud, as a league of female professionals, to cross promote and stand with other women in various professions,” commented NPF Commissioner, Cheri Kempf. “We all know the power of music and we are privileged to be able to integrate top level original music with the incredible play of our athletes. We urge our fan base to support these amazingly talented singer/ songwriters who clearly stand with, and support professional softball and our players. Everyone can show that support easily by downloading the music.”
This is Trivison’s second season to contribute music she has written and performed with NPF players in mind. In 2018, she shared “Outlaw”, which was the league theme song throughout the season.
“The NPF organization is doing truly important work for women’s pro sports and I’m so honored to be back again this season,” added Trivison.
In April, NPF announced a partnership and song launch with Nashville based singer/songwriter, Taryn Papa. Papa’s original song, shared with the league for 2019 is titled, “Rise Up.”
You can download Trivison’s “Dangerous” and “Outlaw”, and Papa’s “Rise Up” on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
The NPF regular season opened on Tuesday May 28th at Jackie Robinson Park. More team 2019 debuts will take place over the next ten days. Fans can watch all the action live, and enjoy the original music both in the live streams and on video clip highlights on the league’s website at www.profastpitch.com.
