Akron, OH—October 7, 2013 – The Akron Racers  announced today their Internship Program for the spring and summer of 2014. The program includes opportunities to receive hands on training in ticket sales, community relations, sponsorship sales, merchandise sales, public and media relations, promotions, game day operations and food and beverage. This unique learning experience allows students to actively participate in multiple assignments to gain a broader scope of what is involved in the sports industry. A complete description of each internship assignment and the application process can be located at akronracers.org. The Akron Racers, headquartered in Akron, OH, are the oldest existing team in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league.
