2011 Rookie of the Year re-signs through 2013 season

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Chicago Bandits GM Aaron M. Moore announced the re-signing of infielder Alisa Goler two a two-year contract that will take her through the 2013 season.

“I’m excited and honored to re-sign with the Bandits,” said Goler. “Growing up it was always a dream of mine to play professionally in Chicago and now I get to do it for another couple of seasons.”

Selected in the 3rd round of the 2011 NPF Senior Draft as the 12th overall selection, Goler spent the majority of her rookie season at both first and third base. She finished the 2011 season with a .327 batting average, 29 RBIs, a .438 on-base percentage and 33 home runs which earned her the title of 2011 Worth Home Run Champion.

She was also named the Miken Rookie of the Year, making that four consecutive seasons that a Bandits player as won the rookie award (Rachel Folden in 2008, Tammy Williams in 2009 and Nikki Nemitz in 2010).

“Alisa played a huge part in our success this past season,” said Bandits owner, Bill Sokolis. “We look forward to having her contribute even more over the next couple of years as we look to repeat as NPF Champions.”
