North Mankato, MN (July 8, 2019) – The Chicago Bandits won their 14th straight contest after taking down the Aussie Peppers of Minnesota, 6-0, in game one of a five game series.
The Bandits opened up the scoring in the third inning with a three run home run by Hannah Flippen.
Amanda Chidester followed Flippen up with a solo home run as the Bandits hit back to back homers.
Chicago led 5-0 until Flippen added another solo home run later, she finished with three hits and 4 RBI’s in the contest.
Chicago’s Rachele Fico, Kelly Barnhill, and Paige Lowary combined for the shut-out.
The Peppers and Bandits will take the field again July 9th and 8:00 ET/7:00 CT for game two of the series.
