Rockford Makes Second Move in as Many Days

ROCKFORD – The Rockford Thunder announced today that they have traded its second round draft pick, No. 9 overall, to the Chicago Bandits for their third and fourth round picks in the upcoming NPF Senior Draft.

Rockford will receive the No. 13 and No. 19 overall picks in the trade from Chicago and currently hold the No. 3, 13, 15 and 19 picks in the draft.

The move, which follows a move made on Monday sending Amanda Freed to Chicago, helps to improve the teams positioning in the draft for the 2008 season.

“This is a move that makes a lot of sense for the team,” stated Aaron M. Moore, Thunder general manager. “We are going to rely on some youngsters coming out of college next season quite heavily and this gives us an additional pick to do so.”
