Miami, FL (July 7, 2017) – After an overwhelming win at the Space Coast Stadium on Thursday night, the USSSA Pride (17-3) kept rolling with their winning streak, as the Viera-based team motored past the Texas Charge (11-13) and the Beijing Eagles (1-17). In the doubleheader, the Pride underlined the efficiency and power of its offense, as USSSA grabbed 13 hits on the day.

In the circle, Keilani Ricketts (6-2) and Angel Bunner (3-0) led the Pride to victory. Ricketts recorded two strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched, while Bunner collected one strike out and allowed no hits and no runs in 2.1 innings pitched. Jordan Taylor (1-0, 6) took home her sixth save for the 2017 season, as she helped USSSA lock Game 1.

In the box, catcher Chelsea Goodacre led the Pride firepower, collecting three hits consisting of one double and one home run for two RBI. Second baseman Sierra Romero ended the outing going 3-for-6 with three RBI, including the game-winning run of Game 2.

During the first event of the day, USSSA faced the San Marcos-based Texas Charge. In the outing, the Pride struck first, as Romero collected her fourth seasonal double to put USSSA on the board, 1-0.

When the second came around, Wilson, Wiggins and Romero increased the Pride lead, driving in four runners to put USSSA ahead, 5-0. However, Texas answered back in the third, grabbing two runs to close the gap, 5-2.

After a blank fourth and fifth, Goodacre batted in one more run for the Pride in the bottom of the sixth, dropping a solo bomb behind the center field fence to enlarged the USSSA stretch, 6-2.

Entering as relief in the sixth, Taylor flawlessly dominated the circle and shut down the Charge lineup to seal the first win of the day for the Pride, 6-2.

Heading into Game 2 of the doubleheader, USSSA faced the Beijing Eagles in a nail-biter. Shougang broke through the score first, taking one run to put itself ahead, 1-0.

The Prideroared back in the second, tying the game up with Goodacre pushing Chamberlain home. After a quick 1-2-3 frames for both dugouts, USSSA took control of the game in the sixth. With Ceo at third and Wiggins on second, Romero hit a single to the infield that prompted Ceo to rush home to put the Pride in the lead, 2-1.
In the seventh, Bunner ceased the Shougang offense with three quick outs and wrapped up the second win for USSSA, 2-1.

Next up, the Pride square off against the Texas Charge tomorrow evening at 8:05 p.m. EST at the FIU Baseball Stadium.
