Nashville, TN (August 15, 2016) – For the first time this season, a player has earned two awards in one week. Dallas Charge pitcher Lauren Haeger was named Offensive Player and Pitcher of the Week for her outstanding performance in the circle and at the plate. Haeger hit for a league-best .538 AVG with two home runs, six RBI, two doubles and three runs scored. The second year player out of the University of Florida finished the week with a slugging percentage of 1.154 and a .600 on-base percentage. She finished the week in the circle with a 2-0 record, throwing her first career no-hitter in a 5-0 win over the Chicago Bandits. Haeger struck out four batters in 11 innings pitched, while holding opponents to a .029 batting average.

The Rookie of the Week goes to Pennsylvania Rebellion first year player Stacey Porter. Porter finished the week with a .556 AVG and two doubles. She was also second in the league in walks with five, helping her finish with a .667 OBP.

The regular season is officially complete in 2016, which makes this week’s winners the last of the 2016 National Pro Fastpitch campaign.
