The Bandits put up six runs in the top half of the first inning, but the Racers began their comeback scoring 4 runs in the bottom half of the first. Taylor Schlopy(Georgia) hit a laser over the center field fence to start the scoring in the bottom half of the frame, and Shellie Robinson (USC Upstate) hit her second homer in as many games to bring the Racers within two runs. Barrett scored later in the inning when Nerissa Myers (Louisiana Lafayette) dropped a single over the shortstop’s head.
Kelly Montalvo (Alabama) hit her first homerun of the year in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Myers also blasted a solo shot to right field in the bottom half of the sixth inning to give the Racers a four run lead.
