National Pro Fastpitch and Pro Sports Radio Team Up

NPF and Pro Sports Radio Team Up
Pro Sports Radio to Interview NPF Players

DENVER – The National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) and Pro Sports Radio announced a partnership today that will allow fans and media to download and listen to interviews with NPF athletes, coaches and front office personnel.

The interviews are usually 4-5 minutes in length, and get in-depth with the players, coaches and front office personnel and their personalities. NPF fans will have the opportunity to listen to the interviews by clicking on the Pro Sports Radio link on the National Pro Fastpitch Official Website or one of the affiliate team websites. The direct link to the NPF page of Pro Sports Radio is www.npf.prosportsradio.com.

Members of the media are encouraged to register for this service by contacting Bob Eres at media@prosportsradio.com. Once registered, the media will be able to download all interviews available on the website.

“We are very excited about this partnership with National Pro Fastpitch,” said Bob Eres, President of Pro Sports Radio. “This is a great opportunity to be involved with a sport that’s popularity is on the rise in this country.”

Pro Sports Radio, member of the National Association of Broadcasters, produces weekly radio shows such as “Puck Stop”, “Football Report”, “Basketball Dunk”, “Giant Steps” and “Let’s Talk Baseball”. It also provides timeless short form features of famous athletes and provides live game updates to radio stations and other media outlets across North America.

NPF consists of eight teams located in Akron, Ohio, Denver, Colo., Houston, Texas, San Antonio, Texas, Lowell, Mass., Sacramento, Calif., Tucson, Ariz., and Upper Montclair, NJ. Akron has been a member of the league since league play began in 1997.

The 2004 NPF season runs from June 1 through August 31 and includes a 56-game regular season for each team, an all-star game, a best-of-three Division Playoff and a best-of-five Championship Series.

National Pro Fastpitch is the only professional women’s fastpitch league in the United States. The league is headquartered in Denver, and has been in operation since 1997 under the names Women’s Pro Fastpitch (WPF) and Women’s Professional Softball League (WPSL).
