LOWELL, MA---The New England Riptide announced today the return of Head Coach Sharon Drysdale to lead the team in 2006. Riptide General Manager Joe Adlman says "we all appreciated Sharon's hands-on dedication to the players and to making the team work. She's one of the most talented coaches around and we're lucky to have her here."
Drysdale, former 24-year head coach at Northwestern University, spends a great deal of time during the off-season teaching coaches. She developed the National Faspitch Coaches College, and continues to teach across the country. This fall, Drysdale spent time in Europe instructing coaches there.
Drysdale hopes to improve last seaon's 25-23 record and is optimistic, having retained most of last year's team and getting back the full-time services of those who were away for part of last summer playing with the National Team.
