Kissimmee, FL- August 14, 2014 - A true pitchers’ duel was on display in the first game of a four game series to end the regular season between the visiting Pennsylvania Rebellion and the USSSA Pride. And, it was the Pride that came away victorious 1-0 as Cat Osterman delivered a one-hitter against the Rebellion lineup Thursday at Osceola County Stadium.

The game, which ended in less than two hours and was played at the spring home of the Houston Astros, featured pitch for pitch as Osterman and Pennsylvania pitcher Angel Bunner battled batter for batter. Osterman fanned 13 Rebellion hitters and lost the no-hit bid when Rebellion shortstop Bianca Mejia lined a leadoff single in the seventh. On the other side of the circle, Bunner was tagged with the loss but held the first place Pride and defending NPF Champions to just one hit and one run in her four innings of work. She was relieved by Anna Miller who also dealt, allowing just two hits and kept the Pride off the scoreboard in relief.

Former USA Olympian Natasha Watley supported Osterman’s gem with a single in the top of the fourth and later scored the only run and winning tally on an Andrea Duran sacrifice fly.

The Rebellion and the Pride battle again tomorrow at 7:05 PM ET, and cap off the series Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 5:30 PM ET. Watch Live: http://usssalive.com/USSSAPride or Listen Live: http://www.msasports.net/game/rebellion-at-usssa-pride-3.
