Events added for Round Rock Series

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Round Rock Express and National Pro Fastpitch announced on Wednesday an addition of events that will be available at the National Pro Fastpitch Series presented by St. David’s Healthcare on July 22-23.
Former NPF All-Star and Co-Pitcher of the Year, Jennie Finch returns to The Dell Diamond to host a question and answer session and give a pitching demonstration. Fans are now given the opportunity to purchase a VIP ticket that grants early entrance to the ballpark before each doubleheader taking place on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23. Included with the ticket will be the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Finch. Following the Q&A session, Finch will give a pitching demonstration.
Early entrance to the ballpark will be from 4:00-5:00 P.M. CDT. Gates will open for general admission at 5:00 P.M. CDT. The cost for a VIP ticket with early entrance will be $15. General admission tickets cost $10. Groups of 20 or more will receive a discounted rate of $8 for general admission. There will be no reserved seating, so early entrance tickets will ensure fans receive the best seats.
In addition, NPF will host a softball camp taking place Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 from 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. CDT. The NPF Diamonds players and coaches will host a series of softball instructions. The Diamonds, one of the teams participating in the series, have many recognizable players, including former University of Texas standout Loryn Johnson, involved in the camp.
Also participating in the camp will be former Texas A&M standouts Megan Gibson and Jamie Lobpries, former UGA Bulldog Kristen Schnake, former BYU standout Angeline Quiocho and former University of Michigan Wolverine Angele Findlay.

The NPF Diamonds will take on the Akron Racers. The teams will play four games in the two-day period with a doubleheader at 6 P.M., Friday, July 22, and a doubleheader at 6 P.M., Saturday, July 23.
The Racers have the reigning NPF Pitcher of the Year in Lisa Norris, as well as league veteran Kristina Thorson who they acquired via trade in the off-season.
