Kissimmee, Fl – With US Olympian Cat Osterman inside the circle the Rockford Thunder gave her the lead by the time she stepped in the circle for the first time in the ball game. In the top of the first after Desiree Serrano (2-10) recorded two outs Amanda Williams started a two out rally with a single to center field. Chelsea Spencer would reach on an error to set up Shanna Diller. Diller's first home run of the season was a line drive over the left center field fence.
With the Thunder up 3-0 Cat Osterman (10-0) was once again brilliant in the circle for the second outing in two nights. Osterman who has allowed only one run on the entire season, retired the first eight batters she faced until the bottom of the third. Jessica Williams double broke up the no hitter. Osterman would go on to work five innings of scoreless softball where she allowed only two hits on the night while she struck out nine.
The Rockford Thunder added two runs in the second, three runs in the third, two in the fifth, and a run in the sixth and seventh inning. Their victory gives them the series victory headed into the fifth and final game of the series.
